hey hey hey ;D

Hello :D I am blogging againnnn haha
Ummmm today wasn't so bad! I actually got a lot of assignments done and it was a productive day except my boyfriend didn't like the fact that I was all studious and didn't play with him LOL. Buuut it's okay, I'm probably gonna have time to hang out with him tomorrow or something for sure. 

Anyway, on to my food diary! I had class at 9am and I woke up late AGAINNNNN. I should probably go to sleep earlier, huh? But I still managed to brew coffee and grabbed the trail mix granola bar just in case I get hungry in class. My stomach growls very loud if I'm hungry and I didn't wanna embarrass myself. 

It says DARK CHOCOLATE & NUT but there are some dried fruits in there. It tastes OK. I should probably buy a different kind next time I buy granola bars. I just cannot go on with not having granola bars cuz it temporarily satisfies me on-the-go.

I had unusually early LUNCH today at about 11am right after my 9am class was over. I wasn't really hungry at that time but I knew I would be hungry later so I stopped by Subway to get a 6-inch Chicken Teriyaki with sea salt & vinegar potato chips and coke. I don't know WHY but I don't like the Subway's coke. For some reason, it tastes different :O




After lunch, I had to go to the Child Development Laboratory to prepare for my activity plan that I need to implement tomorrow. I'm doing a Vet Clinic and hopefully the children will like my activity! So after the preparation, I went to the Union to do some stuff at the Courtyard Cafe and then went home. On my way to go inside the apartment, I saw this beautiful tree and just wanted to take a picture of it (:


Once I got inside my apartment, I brewed more coffee and made myself an iced coffee. I think I like Caribou Coffee better than Starbucks Coffee. The Caribou Coffee doesn't have that burnt taste like the Starbucks Coffee and it just tastes better.

Because I had my lunch too early, I decided to have some snack! Pita chips with hummus, yum yummmmm! Maybe I really do like the sea salt flavored chips LOL. Jessica didn't like it when she tried it but I like it :D I would recommend this combination of snack cuz I think it's healthier than eating oily chips.



For DINNER, I cooked for my boyfriend as I mentioned on the first post. It's really not COOKING because I just boiled water+milk+margarine and added the Pasta Sides.
I don't recommend you getting this flavor because it was salty.....at least for me. Sang Yoon said he liked it and it wasn't too salty but seriously I don't think I would wanna buy PastaSides anymore because I think I can make better tasting pasta than that LOL but I still have 3 more because I bought them as 4 for $5 at County Market so now I HAVE to finish them :[

This is the FINAL PRODUCT! It doesn't look that delicious...maybe I needed better lighting xD

And because I had sourdough bread in my fridge, I thought I would try to make garlic breads by spreading butter and sprinkling garlic salt on top of it and toast it. It was GOOD except for some parts that I sprinkled too heavily with salt LOL



Soooo this is all the food I ate today! I was soooo attempted to have those thin mints but I stopped myself because it was about 8pm and I don't wanna get any fatter >:( OH, and I was supposed to do this thing where my sister tagged me on her blog but I think I'm gonna do that tomorrow because I didn't have time to do that today. I was too busy with school work ^^;;

Just Started!

Okayyy so I have just created my blog and I'm new at this but hopefully I'll get used to this.I thought to myself, "what can I blog about?" then decided that I should write a food diary on my blog to keep track of what I eat everyday. My boyfriend, Sang Yoon (I'm mentioning his name because he will pop up a lot on my blog since we eat together most of the time LOL) & I made a bet. He needs to gain about 12-14 pounds, also get bulkier(?) because he is just TOO skinny. I don't want my boyfriend to look skinner than me and in fact, his waist is smaller than mine! So I need to lose about 10 pounds before the start of next semester. If I fail to do so, I have to buy him stuff that are worth $300 and vice versa. Because I don't really have much time to go to CRCE (one of our fitness centers at UIUC), I thought maybe seeing how much I eat everyday would help me really be conscious about what I'm eating. Just remembered something! I took a nutrition class last semester and the professor always emphasized that everyone should be a CONSCIOUS EATER. She also said "Have a diet! Don't go on a diet-if you go on, you will go off." It's okay to eat the food you enjoy (like chocolate, ice cream and sugar sweets for me) as long as you're aware of how much you are putting it into your mouth. 



Enough of me babbling and here's what I ate since Monday!



Monday, April 4th, 2011
So on Monday, I didn't have my 9 am class and instead I had a group project meeting at UGL (Undergraduate Library). I failed to get up at 6 am and woke up around 8:20 ish when I had to catch the bus that comes at 8:42. There was no way that I get ready in 20 minutes so I ended up taking the 8:52 bus that I knew for sure I will be late. 

But I still managed to toast cinnamon raisin bagel thins and make iced coffee because I know I will become a cranky little monster if I didn't eat anything in the morning! 

Breakfast
I suppose these are made for weight loss purpose because it's the thinner version of  the original bagels. These are really good on-the-go, easy to eat and it tastes good too! and hey, it's only 110 calories compared to 285 calories for a medium bagel LOL.

Moving on to LUNCH! 
I waited in the Courtyard Cafe for my boyfriend to get out of his 12 pm lecture so we can go eat cuz I was STARVING!! That was probably the longest 50 minutes of my life LOL. I thought we would eat Chinese food downstairs at the Union but I was craving for Chipotle so we decided to go get CHIPOODLE! I was too busy eating that I forgot to take a picture xD

Snack
I have a lecture at 4 pm on Mondays and I think I got into a habit of eating snack in this class. There is a vending machine right around the corner and I know I'm not supposed to but I still go up there to get chips. Oh, and I managed to bring a can of coke with me from home.... I am currently addicted to coke. *SIGH*

Ever since my birthday, I got to really like the KETTLE COOKED SEA SALT & CRACKED PEPPER and that's what I had the week before but I saw the POTATO SKINS so I just HAD to get it.

DINNER [:
After the lecture which ended around 5:30, I went to UGL again because Sang Yoon was studying there for his exam at 7pm. I had a Buddhist for World Peace meeting at 7pm so we decided to have dinner together afterwards since it's our 50th day anniversary LOL. My friends were telling me that we're ridiculous for calling it our anniversary when it's only 50 days but Sang Yoon made a big deal because we're halfway into our 100th day xD Anywayyyy we wanted to go eat at Woorijib because I craved Korean food and Sushi Ave was closed but Woorijib closes at 9:30 and we got there around 9 so I didn't wanna go in. Instead we went to FLAT TOP!

Because I turned 21 last month, I can try cocktails and pretty drinks at restaurants ;] So I got a drink called "Hypnotiq Lava Colada" I've tried Hypnotiq before because my dad had it at home and I really liked the tropical taste of it so I wanted to try this drink.

It was pretty good! The mix of tropical and a little bit of cherry. I wouldn't order it again though LOL. I think it can be better.

I mixed in 5 different types of sauces but I put too little noodles and too much meat :( It was still good haha.

Sang Yoooon's! He only put the Korean BBQ sauce and lots of cilantro! His dish smelled like cilantro but I like the smell of it and so does he. I heard a lot of Koreans don't like cilantro but since Sang Yoon lived in Vietnam for a little bit, he is used to the taste and he likes it! :D

We weren't really full after finishing the first dish so we decided to go for unlimited! But we ended up having leftovers....so I thought we could just ask for a to-go box but the waitress said because it's like a buffet style, she needs to charge us $4.95 for each box that we get. Sang Yoon said might as well just get it because we had a lot of leftovers but he ended up paying a lot so I felt bad. I'll probably have to buy or cook him a meal.

So those were the food that I had for yesterday. I think I had too much food :O I should definitely cut down.....



Tuesday, April 5th, 2011
I woke up late again! I wasn't feeling so good last night that I ended up sleeping around 2am. I had an exam at 11am for HDFS 220 that I only looked through the lecture slides ONCE because I was sick last night-_-. I think I did pretty okay but we will have to see. 

Breakfast
COFFEE before the exam-this probably helped me stay awake during the exam. Honestly, I tried to quit coffee and I thought I succeeded but once school started, I failed because I CAN NOT LIVE WITHOUT COFFEE!

LUNCH with SANG YOOOOON♥
We had lunch at PAR! Yes, dorm food LOL. My boyfriend can swipe me with his credits to have lunch. I guess it's practically my boyfriend paying for lunch xD Well here is what we had for lunch.

The food on top of the picture is Sang Yoon's and mine is on the bottom. We shared the plates right in the middle which were salad, cheese bread sticks and what are those called? I forgot LOL

After we were done eating, I took a picture so I know how much I ate. It is really hard to keep track of how much you eat when it's a buffet style but I guess I didn't eat much as I used to eat before.
Our dessert! Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting :] Sang Yoon thought it was a brownie but I told him that brownies are usually thinner than this cake LOL
OH! Randomness but I made Sang Yoon wear this outfit today after lunch because he usually wears only the clothes that he wears and I didn't know he had these pieces of clothing. He has a gray polo underneath the brown hoodie and I was gonna make him wear black jeans but I think the somewhat dark blue jeans go better with his top. 



FINALLLY, MY DINNER FOR TONIGHT!
What more is there to say LOL leftover food from FLAT TOP last night with coke. Mine is on the right side and Sang Yoon's is on the left side. 


And now I'm about to make iced coffee to keep myself awake and get some stuff done because I took a two hour nap & did not get anything done today. I did not know this first post will be this LONG o_o! WELL, OFF TO GET SOME WORK DONE ;]
